Job summary

Affirmed Home Care is seeking Certified Home Health Aides (HHAs) for immediate per diem assignments in Huntington Station and throughout Suffolk County. Pay is $19.65 per hour, with flexible 4-12 hour shifts and weekly pay.

We offer immediate placements, local cases, and a supportive team focused on one-on-one in-home care. Applicants should have NYS HHA certification, be authorized to work in the U.S., and prefer a driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must have New York State HHA certification.
• At least 1 year of HHA experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Driver's license preferred.
• Reliable transportation preferred.
• Dependable, compassionate, professional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide personal care, bathing, grooming, and hygiene assistance.
• Assist with mobility and transfers.
• Provide medication reminders as directed.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment.
• Support dignity, independence, and quality of life.

HHA Job Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)

HHA Requirements

• Current New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification required
• At least 1 year of professional HHA experience
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Reliable transportation strongly preferred
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional approach to patient care

Required Health Documentation

• Physical examination completed within the past 12 months
• PPD or QuantiFERON test completed within the past year, or chest X-ray completed within the last 5 years
• MMR immunization documentation within the last 10 years
