Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team delivering home-based early intervention services for infants, toddlers and their families across California.

You will work in families’ homes and community settings, helping children reach developmental goals through parent coaching and family-centered care. The role emphasizes pediatric OT with an emphasis on natural environment therapy, flexible schedules and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• California Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention preferred)
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach developmental goals
• Utilize family-centered parent coaching to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and ensure progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, including families’ homes, daycare centers and community settings
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families per HIPAA and state/federal regulations
