Job summary

Decena Home Care seeks a dedicated Personal Care Aide (PCA) for full-time, on-site daily living support. You will provide compassionate personal care, assist with mobility, prepare meals, and maintain a safe home environment while staying connected with supervising nurses.

Qualifications include prior PCA/caregiver experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training offered for the right candidate; benefits include advancement opportunities and ongoing skills

Qualifications

• PCA or equivalent experience preferred; training available for right candidate.
• Willingness to travel within service area and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow infection-control protocols.
• Strong communication and respect for client dignity and confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented and dependable with change-sensitive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and transfers.
• Assist mobility with ambulation, walker, wheelchair, and ROM routines.
• Plan and prepare simple, balanced meals; monitor hydration.
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and fall-prevention checks at client home.
• Give timely medication reminders and report changes to supervising nurse.
• Offer companionship and engage clients with activities and conversation.
• Drive or accompany to appointments, groceries, and community activities.
