Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Part Time X Ray Access Screener in Indianapolis, IN. You will screen people and items, monitor access points, and deliver customer service while supporting a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Company may consider applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers while carrying out site-specific security procedures and screening protocols.
• Screen packages, cargo, vehicles, and personal belongings per site procedures; document screenings and report discrepancies.
• Verify credentials and control access to designated areas to deter unauthorized entry and prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate observations to site contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, shipping/receiving locations, and perimeter; report unusual activity and concerns.
