Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Screening Control Point in Indianapolis, IN for a part-time position. You will screen people and items, monitor access points, and report security concerns while delivering high-quality customer service in a logistics-focused environment.

The role emphasizes flexible schedule via the Claim a Shift platform, with on-site duties and a $17.22/hour pay rate. Prior badge, access control, or X-ray screening experience is preferred; candidates must meet age

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and property entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipment documentation, and authorization for entry into restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
