Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing seeks highly motivated applicants for the role of Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver). This casual, on-call, part-time position focuses on delivering Penske vehicles to locations and customers, primarily box trucks up to 26’. CDL Class B is required with Class A preferred.

Work Monday–Friday with flexible hours, 0–25 per week according to business needs. Responsibilities include safety-focused driving, vehicle inspections, collecting deliveries, and reporting issues.

Qualifications

• 2 years of driving experience required.
• 2 years of a clean DMV record required.
• Valid Class B CDL required; Class A preferred.
• English language proficiency required for DOT compliance.
• Willingness to travel and comply with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures while driving Penske trucks to locations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and report defects.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment when required.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations as needed.
• Complete Penske employment process and background checks; DOT and drug screening may apply.
