Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Unarmed in Melville, NY. This role offers reliable, flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and optional extra shifts to increase earnings through the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour. The job includes customer service to tenants and visitors, patrols of interior and exterior areas, and the ability to respond to incidents following established protocols. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control practices, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery or contractor entry in accordance with site policies; report irregularities to appropriate property representatives and/or emergency services.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
