Job summary

Allied Universal in Lakeland, FL seeks a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Admission Verification. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, at $16.00 per hour.

You’ll support a logistics/distribution site with customer service and security duties. Responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, responding to incidents, patrolling perimeters, and reporting conditions.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, screen visitors and deliveries, and maintain accurate access and visitor records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report security-related conditions, policy violations, and unusual activity while supporting the orderly flow of personnel, vehicles, and deliveries.
