Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed to join our La Porte, TX site. This flexible role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts and grow toward a full-time schedule.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour, with daytime hours typical. You’ll perform patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and complete reports while providing excellent customer service at a chemical/petrochemical location.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity, damaged barriers, or unsecured areas.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain patrol documentation, and communicate observations and incidents to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
