Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Glendale, CA. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and opportunities to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform to boost earnings.

Pay rate is $32.62 per hour. The schedule includes several day shifts and a path to scale up to a full schedule. Ideal candidates have security-related experience and a HS diploma, with background checks and drug screening as standard requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ages: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screening may be required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols across the location to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity while maintaining a professional, welcoming presence.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and communicate with leadership and emergency services.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related activities per site procedures.
