Allied Universal in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable, flexible security coverage at a technology-focused site. The role offers a fixed anchor shift with the possibility to pick up additional shifts, helping you increase earnings while maintaining a predictable base schedule.

The position pays $22.00 per hour and supports front desk duties, visitor screening, and access control.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license required or preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsabilités

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies at a technology-focused location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, alarms, and communications systems, reporting unusual conditions or access concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations calmly and professionally, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Maintain a professional front-desk presence, answer calls, provide directions, and support a welcoming environment while deterring unauthorized access.
