Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Pontiac, MI. The role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick-up extra shifts via the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $18.68 per hour, with a schedule including Daytime and Night shifts. Ideal candidates are 18+ (21+ for armed positions) with a high school diploma and the ability to pass background and drug screens.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, lobbies, parking areas, business spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity or access concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, completing accurate incident reports and shift documentation.
