Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Authorization in Fort Wayne, IN. This role provides reliable, fixed hours at a designated site with the option to pick up extra shifts through our platform, boosting earnings while gaining experience.

Pay rate is $17.75 per hour with a DayTime Friday shift from 06:00 AM to 02:00 PM. The position supports part‑time employment with potential progression to full‑time schedules as needed.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, entry points, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.
