Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization credentials, maintain visitor logs, and issue or collect access badges and/or keys in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, promptly communicating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Document observations, incidents, and access‑related activities accurately and completely, and coordinate with site personnel and responding agencies as directed.
