Allied Universal in Wilkesboro, NC is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time to provide reliable, site-based coverage with flexible hours.

You will work a fixed anchor shift weekly and have the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, with a schedule that includes evenings and overnights.

This role emphasizes customer service, access control, and incident response, and requires two years security experience, high school diploma, and background check.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the food production location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor records, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with facility procedures, escalating discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, business operations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
