Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Authorization at Corpus Christi, TX. This role provides reliable hours with fixed anchor shifts at a designated site and the option to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $16.50 per hour. You will support customer service for personnel, contractors, drivers, and visitors, enforce access-control procedures, and follow site safety policies. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA.
Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate site locations.
Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles as directed, document deliveries and shipments, and report access-control concerns or irregularities according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or unusual conditions.
