Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbus, MS is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Badge Administration to provide reliable site security with flexible hours. The role offers steady earnings and opportunities to gain hands-on experience within a nationwide security leader.

You will work a fixed anchor shift, earn $16 per hour, and have the option to pick up extra shifts via the scheduling platform, with training and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required.
• Criminal history considered per law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to manufacturing and industrial facility entrances, including verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Communicate observations, access concerns, and incidents to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, completing required reports and documentation.
