Job summary

First Student is seeking a Part Time School Van Driver in Libertyville, IL to safely transport students to and from school and activities with AM/PM routes. Training is provided to ensure safe, professional operation and adherence to all DOT rules.

The role offers flexible shifts, guaranteed minimum hours, and opportunities for career advancement across 540 locations in the U.S. and Canada. A valid driver’s license and a clean safety record are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Part-time schedule with AM/PM routes and summers off.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the vehicle to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the vehicle clean and sanitary.
