Job summary

Sevita’s NeuroRestorative program seeks a part-time or PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join a campus-based setting. You will support PTs, deliver treatments, and help participants reach functional goals on a flexible schedule.

You will administer PT services, document sessions, and assist with gait training and mobility activities across home and community environments. This role emphasizes teamwork and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a human services or related field.
• Current PTA license in the state of work.
• Good working knowledge of physical therapy equipment and therapeutic exercise treatments.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task.
• Reliable, responsible, and caring nature.

Responsibilities

• Administer PT treatments under supervision of Physical Therapists.
• Ensure all program participants receive scheduled PT treatments and document sessions or reasons for absence.
• Perform active, passive, and/or resistive therapeutic exercises per plan.
• Perform therapeutic massage on program participants as needed.
• Perform general mobilization and/or passive stretch within safety limits.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist participants in improving functional activities.
• Provide gait training and instruction for use of canes, crutches, walkers, braces, and splints; train across homebound/community settings.
• Measure ROM, limb length, girth, vital signs, and MMT to help evaluate progress.
• Confer with staff to discuss and modify current treatment plans with the team.
• Ensure adherence to accreditation/licensure standards, ethics, and confidentiality.
• Demonstrate knowledge of indications/contra-indications of PT modalities.
• Assess PT equipment needs and maintenance.
