Job summary

Sevita's NeuroRestorative in Riverton, UT is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to administer PT treatments under supervision of licensed therapists. The role supports functional mobility and independent living goals in a team-based setting.

You will perform various therapeutic exercises, gait training, and patient education, while documenting progress and coordinating with a trans-disciplinary team to optimize outcomes for participants served.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience in a human services or related field.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program (Must have passed exam).

Responsibilities

• Administers physical therapy treatments to patients under the direction of Physical Therapists.
• Performs active, passive and resistive therapeutic exercises.
• Provides gait training and instructs participants in the use of canes, crutches, walkers, braces and splints.
• Measures ROM, vital signs and MMT to assist evaluation and determine effectiveness of the plan.
• Confers with staff to modify and coordinate current treatment and participate in planning with the trans-disciplinary team.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an accredited PTA program

Current PTA license in the state of work
