Job summary

Community Medical and Dental Care in Rockland County, NY is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will evaluate and treat patients with physical, developmental, neurological, and functional conditions and tailor therapy programs to individual goals.

Responsibilities include planning rehab programs, promoting independence through activities, and instructing patients and caregivers for home exercise programs.

Qualifications

• Current NY State Occupational Therapy license (Required)
• Experience Working With Pediatric And/or Adult Patients Preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with a variety of physical, developmental, neurological, and functional conditions.
• Facilitate development and rehabilitation by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy programs tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
• Help patients regain physical functioning and independence through therapeutic activities, exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive devices.
• Evaluate therapy results by observing, noting, and assessing patient progress; recommend and implement necessary adjustments to the plan of care.
• Ensure continuity of care by instructing patients and caregivers in home exercise programs and providing education for at-home care.
