Job summary

Qualifications

Current license to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
BS, MS in Nursing required.
Certification in nursing education (CNE) or major in nursing education desirable.
Two years’ full-time employment in nursing or its equivalent within the last five years; nursing education experience desirable.
Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and assume classroom and clinical teaching responsibilities, supervise and evaluate students' classroom and clinical performance.
Implement a variety of active teaching strategies appropriate to student needs, desired student outcomes, content and context.
Identify multi-cultural, gender, and experiential influences on teaching and learning; use technologies to support the teaching-learning process.
Apply oral, written, and electronic communication to convey ideas and develop students' critical thinking and clinical judgment.
Demonstrate leadership and foster positive learning environments; collaborate with faculty, peers, and clinical personnel.
