Job summary

Alvin Community College is building a pool of qualified Part-Time Instructors for the Continuing Education Workforce Development department to teach digital skills, AI applications, and digital marketing. Positions are as needed and limited to no more than 19 hours per week.

Instructors provide practical, career-focused learning experiences, stay current with industry trends, and maintain student records. The role requires flexible scheduling including days, evenings or weekends, and is reviewed

Qualifications

• Appropriate certifications or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, information technology, graphic design, education, or related field.
• Professional experience in digital technology, marketing, content creation, design, or communications.
• Demonstrated ability to use and teach current technology platforms and digital tools.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in digital skills and digital marketing.
• Develop engaging instruction using current industry tools.
• Provide hands-on learning experiences for workforce readiness.
• Introduce students to AI applications for productivity.
• Create professional visual content using design platforms.
• Maintain accurate student records and grading.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment.
• Stay current with trends in technology, digital media, and marketing.
• Other duties as assigned.
