Job summary

HealthCare Recruitment Counselors is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family or Internal Medicine physician for a part-time hospitalist role in Killeen, TX. The position offers flexible 2–3 hour shifts at an inpatient post‑rehabilitation hospital with strong hourly compensation and APP support.

You’ll round on patients, assist with new admissions, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team while maintaining timely documentation.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Board Certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine.
• Active Texas medical license or the ability to obtain one.
• Federal DEA registration.
• Texas controlled substance registration or eligibility.
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Round on patients in an inpatient post-rehabilitation setting.
• Assist with new admissions.
• Evaluate and manage more complex follow-up patients.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Coordinate care with APPs and the interdisciplinary clinical team.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered medical care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
