Job summary

First Day Homecare seeks dependable PRN/Part-Time caregivers in the San Antonio area to provide personal care under RN or Therapist direction. You will be assigned to clients by the clinical supervisor and may have opportunities for additional hours as new clients begin services.

Responsibilities include companionship, assistance with ADLs, safe transfers, and reporting any changes per the care plan. Valid CPR, TB test, and at least one year of caregiving experience are required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of direct caregiving experience.
• Active CPR certification is required.
• Recent TB test (within 12 months) or a 2-year TB test is acceptable.
• Licensed driver with an insured vehicle and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and, if authorized, transportation to clients according to the care plan.
• Assist client with ADLs such as bathing, meals, and safe ambulation/transfers.
• Report any changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor as outlined in the care plan.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records for the Agency.
• Work collaboratively with the client’s care team and ensure effective communication.
• Promote client safety by following infection control practices and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Attend in-service programs to meet compliance and notify supervisors of any educational needs.
