Job summary

Mayo Clinic seeks a Health Unit Coordinator to provide organizational and clerical support to patient care units. You will monitor supplies, may transcribe orders to the EMR, and communicate with patients, visitors and staff across care teams.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred HUC certification or vocational training. Flexibility for days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of HUC vocational program or HUC Certification preferred.
• Outstanding customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational, receptionist and clerical support to patient care units and the healthcare team.
• Monitor and order supplies and may transcribe orders to patient EMR and other devices.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors and facility staff across the continuum of care.
• Support the care team with anticipation of requests and ongoing process improvements.
