Job summary

Wonders Early Learning + Extended Day in Bethesda, MD is seeking a part-time Floater Teacher to support our ECE program and ensure quality learning experiences. The role involves assisting Lead/Assistant teachers, preparing materials, and helping with lunch and classroom organization.

You will contribute to a safe, engaging classroom environment, follow Wonders policies, and collaborate with the Program Director and families to foster children’s growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in an educational, recreational, or camp setting.
• High school diploma required; BA/AA in Education or related field preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with Wonders curriculum.
• Assist Lead and Assistant Teacher; prepare materials for classroom activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom following NAEYC guidelines.
• Communicate with families about curriculum and child progress.
• Attend MSDE/OCC approved staff trainings (minimum 18 hours annually).
