Barnes-Jewish Hospital Float Team at Washington University Medical Center seeks an experienced Part-Time Clinical Nurse Float to provide patient-centered care across 65+ inpatient units. The role offers flexible day or night shifts, self-scheduling, and opportunities for professional growth in an academic environment.

You will work across multiple inpatient settings, collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience required.
• Strong clinical judgment and adaptability.
• Ability to confidently practice across a variety of inpatient settings.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
