Job summary

Lexington Catholic High School is seeking a part-time ESL tutor to provide individualized or small group sessions for international students. The role focuses on language proficiency, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational English, with support for academic content.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree or be pursuing a related field, and prior ESL tutoring/teaching experience is desirable. Sessions may occur during or after school hours, totaling 5–8 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing in education, English, linguistics, etc., preferred.
• Prior experience tutoring or teaching ESL is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized or small group ESL tutoring sessions to international students attending Lexington Catholic High School.
• Assist students with language proficiency, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational English.
• Support students in understanding academic content and assignments.
• Sessions may be scheduled five to eight hours per week, flexibly during school day or after.
