Job summary

Lexington Catholic High School is seeking a part-time ESL tutor to provide individualized or small group sessions for international students. The role focuses on language proficiency, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational English, with support for academic content.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree or be pursuing a related field, and prior ESL tutoring/teaching experience is desirable. Sessions may occur during or after school hours, totaling 5–8 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

This part-time, hourly position will provide individualized or small group tutoring sessions to international students attending LCHS. The tutor will assist students with language proficiency, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational English. The individual will support students in understanding academic content and assignments. The successful candidate will need to have a flexible schedule to meet with students five to eight hours per week. Sessions may be scheduled during the school day or after depending on student availability. Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree in education, English, linguistics, etc. preferred.
