Job summary

Private Practice Phoenix in the Biltmore area is seeking a licensed dental hygienist to join a small, friendly team. The role involves patient screenings, x-rays, and routine cleanings, with 2–3 days per week (7am–3pm) and some flexibility for the right candidate.

You’ll maintain patient comfort, perform exams, and collaborate with dentists on treatment plans, while upholding HIPAA and safety standards. CPR is required and anesthesia certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in registered dental hygiene.
• 1–2 years of dental hygiene experience.
• Active dental hygienist license in Arizona.
• Current CPR certification.
• Anesthesia certification preferred.
• Understands HIPAA regulations and safety guidelines.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Active team player.

Responsibilities

• Talk to patients and ensure comfort.
• Clean and sterilize dental instruments.
• Perform preliminary dental examinations.
• Look for signs of gum disease, infections, or cavities.
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride/ sealants.
• Explain good oral hygiene to patients of all ages.
• Provide post-operative health education.
• Take X-ray images of teeth.
• Work with dentists to decide treatments.
• Keep detailed records of visits and health history.
• Schedule follow-up hygiene appointments.
• Perform iTero scans as needed.
