Job summary

Visiting Angels of Cedar Rapids is seeking a Part Time Certified Nurse Aide to support seniors in Cedar Rapids, Marion, Hiawatha, Swisher, North Liberty, Iowa City, Coralville and surrounding communities.

This role offers flexibility, growth opportunities, and the chance to make a difference in clients' lives at home. Responsibilities include personal care, light housekeeping, meals, mobility support, and transportation assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
• Heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship.
• Willingness to comply with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene.
• Managing light housekeeping.
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompting clients to take medications on schedule.
• Helping with shopping and putting away groceries or shopping for them.
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients.
• Assisting with mobility and ambulation and accompanying to appointments.
