Job summary

Shenandoah University’s Child Care Center is seeking a part-time substitute in Winchester, Virginia. The role assists teachers and assistants with daily classroom activities and child care, requiring a flexible schedule and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Shall be at least 18 years of age.
• Shall have previous experience working with young children in a group childcare setting.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist director, assistant director, teachers and assistants in daily activities.
• Work a flexible schedule based on staffing needs.
• Complete book orders, dishes, laundry as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality in all classrooms, and keep an upbeat attitude.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Background check and urine screening may be required; driving record may be checked.
