Flathead Valley Community College (FVCC) Kalispell campus is seeking a Student, Bookstore Assistant (Work Study). The role supports the Bookstore operations, performing cashier duties and helping customers, with tasks such as stocking shelves and maintaining a clean store environment.

Eligibility requires Work Study status for FVCC students. The position offers a flexible schedule up to 19 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., starting Fall Semester 2026.

Qualifications

• Current FVCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits per semester.
• Previous cashiering experience.
• Ability to work with a minimal level of supervision as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to be self-motivated.
• Ability to provide quality customer service to customers, visitors and coworkers.
• Ability to problem-solve and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer services to all Bookstore customers and visitors by approaching and greeting them and offering assistance.
• Performs cashier functions.
• Cleans Bookstore area and maintains general cleanliness, and stocks shelves.
• May perform other like duties.
