Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking a part-time Attending Physician to manage new admissions and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners across SNFs/Rehabs in Maryland. The role is on-site with no nights, weekends, or on-calls, offering flexible scheduling and supportive administrative services.

The physician will promote good health practices, participate in quality initiatives, and provide comprehensive primary care to residents in sub-acute and long-term care settings.

Qualifications

• License to practice medicine in the state of Maryland.
• Valid DEA/Controlled Substances License.
• Completion of a U.S. residency program.
• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and with on-site staff.
• Strong communication with geriatric/Medicare population.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in email, internet, and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Attending Physician for SNFs/Rehabs and participate in quality initiatives for facilities.
• Attend monthly QA/regulatory meetings and quarterly staff meetings.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, guide facility staff, oversee clinical care plans and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners to manage daily resident care; each facility has a full-time NP.
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care services by rounding on residents.
