Job summary

Vernon Public Schools is seeking Academic Tutors on an as-needed basis with flexible hours. Tutors may work at a location determined by the parent and administrator, or virtually, if needed.

Responsibilities include meeting with students as scheduled, providing instruction in academics, homework help, testing support, and study/organizational skills, plus submitting progress reports. This is a part-time, no-benefits role paying $33.54 per hour with location of All Schools and availability as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Teaching certification or direct classroom experience working with children Pre-K to Grade 12 and/or students requiring special education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tutoring services may be provided at a location determined by the parent and administrator, or virtually, if needed.
• The number of hours per day/week may vary.
• Meet with students as scheduled to provide instruction which may include academic reinforcement, homework assistance, testing support, study and organizational skills.
• Maintain and submit reports detailing student progress.
• This is a part-time positionwithout benefits.
