Job summary

The Office of Public Advocacy (OPA) in Anchorage, Alaska, is recruiting a flex Paralegal 1/2 in its Administration unit. This role supports case assignments, draft pleadings, and coordination with attorneys and other paralegals.

OPA provides guardianship and legal advocacy to indigent Alaskans. The position requires attention to detail, strong written and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced public service environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Managing conflict check process for all cases.
• Reviewing court appointment orders for eligibility.
• Requesting supplemental information from the court system.
• Drafting pleadings as needed.
• Assigning cases to agency sections and attorneys.
• Coordinating with other paralegals to review and assign new case appointments promptly.
