Job summary

ProAmpac in White House, TN, is seeking a Flexible Packaging Converting Technician to operate and troubleshoot packaging machines on a 12-hour rotating schedule. You will verify orders, set up equipment, measure and trim rolls, manage glue, and perform inspections to ensure quality while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires at least 2 years of machine operating experience, basic computer skills, and adherence to safety training; associate degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of machine operating experience in a related industry.
• Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable reading and using measuring tools.
• Proficient with computers and common business equipment.
• Completion of Safety Orientation, Departmental Safety Training, and OSHA Standards Training required.
• Annual Hazardous Waste Management training provided by ProAmpac.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end machine operation and product quality.
• Verify production orders before setup; complete all required machine set-ups and adjustments.
• Order and stage components per the shop order.
• Unwrap, trim, and prepare rolls for shafting.
• Maintain glue levels in pans, drums, or hot-melt hopper.
• Perform First Article of Inspection at bag set-ups and 30-minute teardowns.
• Conduct ongoing visual checks and adjust settings to sustain quality.
• Keep machine and surrounding area clean and organized.
• Notify management of substandard materials or needed repairs.
