Job summary

Geeks On Site is seeking experienced On-Call IT Field Technicians to support residential and small business customers across multiple U.S. cities. The role focuses on PC/Mac troubleshooting, networking, printer configuration, POS support, and occasional outdoor TV mounting.

As an on-call 1099 contractor, you set your availability and routes. You’ll receive matched jobs with competitive on-site pay of $35 per hour, with additional incentives for mounting and AV tasks.

Qualifications

Two or more years of IT support or field service experience.
Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
Ability to work independently and provide professional customer service.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Own required tools including laptop, drill, screwdrivers, cable tester, and RJ45 tools.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues.
Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems.
Install and configure printers and scanners.
Replace or upgrade hardware components.
Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools.
Document work and communicate clearly with customers.
Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling.
Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup.
