Job summary

Geeks On Site is hiring an On-Call IT Field Technician to support residential and small business customers across multiple U.S. cities. The role focuses on PC/Mac troubleshooting, network support, printer setup, and occasional POS or outdoor TV mounting work.

Independent contractors set their own availability and drive radius. Expect on-site engagements with a pay rate of $35 per hour, with flexible scheduling and full autonomy over your workload.

Qualifications

Minimum two years of IT support or field service experience.
Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
Ability to work independently with professional customer service.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot Windows and macOS issues.
Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems.
Install and configure printers and scanners.
Replace or upgrade hardware components.
Reinstall operating systems with bootable tools.
Document work and communicate clearly with customers.
Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e/ Cat6 cabling.
Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup.
