Seniors Helping Seniors Hampton Roads is seeking a compassionate On-Call Floater Caregiver to support clients across Newport News, Hampton, and surrounding areas. This role offers flexible shifts, the chance to work with multiple clients, and the opportunity to provide dependable care tailored to each individual's routines and needs.

You will assist with companionship, personal care, meal prep, medication reminders, light housekeeping, transportation, and memory care support, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience preferred; training may be available for qualified candidates.
• Must meet Virginia requirements, including DMV check and drug screening.
• Weekend, evening, overnight, or short-notice availability is a plus.
• Reliable transportation when transportation is required for an assignment.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and social interaction with clients.
• Assist with personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.
• Prepare meals according to dietary needs; grocery shopping.
• Provide medication reminders and help with staying on schedule.
• Light housekeeping: laundry, linens, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming.
• Transport clients to medical appointments, errands, and activities.
• Run errands and assist with everyday tasks.
• Offer safety and fall-prevention support in the home.
• Provide pet care when appropriate and available.
• Offer respite and supportive care to families in need.
