Job summary

WNCSource in Columbus, NC seeks a Substitute Early Childhood Educator to step into classrooms ages 6 weeks to 5 years on an on-call basis. You’ll help deliver nurturing care, keep routines, and keep classrooms bright, engaging, and safe.

Starting pay ranges by education: $15.21/hr with HS diploma, up to $19.01/hr with a Bachelor's in ECE. This flexible, on-demand role offers benefits including an employee clinic, EAP, childcare assistance, 403(b) employer match, and opportunities for career

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA credential earns higher pay per hour.
• Associate's Degree in ECE or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's or higher in ECE or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality Care: assist in delivering nurturing care for infants to preschoolers.
• Support Daily Classroom Life: maintain routines when staff are out.
• Inspire Young Minds: engage children with age-appropriate activities.
