Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the Clinic - Flex/PRN in Christiansburg, VA. You will perform nuclear medicine procedures, operate advanced imaging equipment, prepare patients, and ensure safety and quality in alignment with policies.

Qualifications include high school graduate, CAHEA radiologic or nuclear medicine tech education, NMTCB/ARRT certification, BLS, and prior NM experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a CAHEA School of Radiologic Technology and/or CAHEA School of Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operates highly specialized imaging equipment.
• Administers diagnostic and therapeutic doses by IV, inhalation and ingestion.
• Prepares patients for examinations and explains procedures.
• May assist with scheduling, registration and image management.
• Evaluates and observes patients with professional ethics and safety.
• Interacts with staff, physicians and patients to coordinate care.
• Participates in training of students and staff.
