Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a CAHEA School of Radiologic Technology and/or CAHEA School of Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent.
• Certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology by NMTCB or ARRT.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain images and test results.
• Administers diagnostic and therapeutic doses to patients under the direction of an authorized user by IV, inhalation and ingestion.
• Prepares patients for examinations and explains procedures; schedules, registers, and manages images and computer processing.
• Evaluates and observes patients with professionalism, safety and ethics.
• Maintains compliance with Carilion Clinic and Imaging policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Participates in training of students and staff as assigned.
