Job summary

St. Luke’s South Shore is seeking a Casual Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Nuclear Medicine team.

This flexible role offers the opportunity to pick up additional shifts and participate in a call rotation, with scheduling that adapts to department needs. Responsibilities include performing nuclear medicine procedures, reviewing patient history and orders, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring accurate image labeling and documentation.

Qualifications

• ARRT Nuclear Medicine Tech (N) registration or NMTCB certification within 1 year
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months
• Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent knowledge

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to intermediate nuclear medicine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including general and cardiac.
• Reviews medical records, orders and patient history to ensure exam accuracy.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and manages venipuncture and IV access.
• Relays pertinent patient history to staff and departments.
• Post-processes images and correctly labels files with patient name and MRU number.
• Maintains records and enters study information into radiology information system; documents billing codes.
