Job summary

UPMC in Monroeville, PA is seeking a Flex Full-Time Medical Assistant to join the Urology team. The role involves back and front office duties with travel to Greensburg on the 5th Tuesday each month.

Qualifications

• Must have Medical Assistant experience or be willing to train.
• Experience with front office and back office duties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Send/receive patient records in compliance with HIPAA and regulations.
• Obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referrals; schedule appointments; verify insurance.
• Prepare and manage charts; maintain patient demographics; support front office tasks.
• Prepare patient rooms and equipment; maintain infection control; clean and restock as needed.
• Assist with patient flow; accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms; assist with transfers and prep.
