Job summary

Legacy Community Health is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support multiple Beaumont clinics. You will engage warmly with patients, assist providers during exams, and handle phlebotomy, injections, and basic room preparation.

This role requires a high school diploma, BLS/CPR, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities. You will work Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM, ensuring efficient operations, accurate documentation, and a patient-centered approach within a dynamic, team-based environment at

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Up to one year of experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Front desk/clerical or healthcare support experience.
• Ability to work with clinical staff, multitask under pressure.
• Commitment to preventive health care and team approach.
• Experience with computers and MS Office.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Phlebotomy skills preferred.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients with empathy and collect medical info.
• Record vitals, medical history, and statistics accurately.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain cleanliness.
• Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
• Communicate test results and health concerns clearly.
• Perform phlebotomy and administer medications as ordered.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
• Manage exam room supplies and safety protocols.
• Participate in Performance Improvement Program to improve service quality.
• Support a respectful, professional environment; collaborate in a primary care home model.
