Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Gastroenterologist in Sedro-Woolley, WA paying $450/hour - $500/hour. This assignment is at an Out-Patient Clinic for 13 weeks, starting soon, with scheduled 8-hour days.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating digestive disorders, performing endoscopic procedures if applicable, coordinating with surgeons and radiologists, and maintaining complete medical records.

Qualifications

• Board certification in gastroenterology by ABIM or AOA.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Washington.
• One year of gastroenterology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of digestive system disorders in adults and potentially children.
• Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, X-rays, CT scans and blood tests.
• Perform endoscopic procedures to diagnose and treat digestive conditions (depending on the scope).
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Manage chronic digestive conditions and provide ongoing patient care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists and other specialists when needed to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients on digestive health and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
• Stay current on the latest advancements in gastroenterology through continuing education.
