Job summary

Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Integrated Laboratory Medicine Deputy Information Manager to lead day-to-day LIMS operations and support the ILM Information Manager. This Band 7 role involves incident, change and problem management, service improvement, and governance within a busy diagnostic service.

Qualifications

• Higher degree/Masters in IT or a related field.
• Prince 2 Foundation (desirable).
• Broad knowledge of IT operations and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day management of the LIMS system.
• Maintain and develop the LIMS to ensure optimum availability.
• Minimise disruption and downtime.
• Develop incident and problem management processes and business continuity strategies.
• Train and support Department IT Leads in absence of ILM Information Manager.
• Coordinate training and development for staff per service requirements.
