Job summary

Vassar & Company Properties is seeking experienced Janitorial Services Technicians to support our commercial properties and client accounts. This is a 1099 contractor role offering flexible, appointment-based scheduling.

Work is assigned based on recurring service needs and one-time jobs, allowing you to accept assignments that fit your availability. Responsibilities include routine janitorial tasks across offices, retail spaces and common areas, with own supplies and independent work.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Prior janitorial or commercial cleaning experience required.
• Must bring your own cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Able to service offices, retail spaces, and common areas.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards and safe chemical use.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine janitorial services (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, restroom cleaning).
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in offices, retail, and common areas.
• Restock supplies as needed (paper goods, soap, etc.).
• Follow cleaning schedules and service checklists.
• Report maintenance issues or concerns.
• Ensure consistent, high-quality results across all assigned properties.
